February 12, 2020 – Google, Inc. the bastion of monopolistic power already under investigation for anti-competitive business practices, has announced it will fund propaganda outlet The Young Turks to teach people “how to report news.”

According to Anders Hagstrom of the Daily Caller, Google is now funding The Young Turk to the tune of six figures:
Google have given the left-wing media outlet The Young Turks a six-figure payday for them to create a YouTube course to teach users how to do local journalism.
The project, called TYT Academy, is part of YouTube’s pledge to spend $25 million on ‘news efforts,’ which itself is part of Google’s $300 million investment in news publishers, according to Axios. The class is in a trial phase as of Tuesday, taking only 10-15 students before being released to the public.
The project’s creator, TYT’s Steven Oh, stated that they ‘not interested in cranking out journalists who share our political viewpoint whatsoever.’
Facebook has funded a similar class for users to identify ‘deepfake’ videos on the internet, but it went to Reuters to create the course, an organization widely considered non-partisan.
The Turk’s course, which can already be found on YouTube, features 5-10 minute episodes starring different personalities at TYT. TYT Founder Cenk Uygur hosts the introductory episode. Uygur is running for Congress in California to replace Rep. Katie Hill, but his campaign has been slammed with accusations of sexism after 2013 footage resurfaced of him ranking women from 1 to 10 on how likely men would be to let the women perform oral sex on them, according to the LA Times. – The Daily Caller
The fact that Google is content to pay clearly partisan “journalists” like Uygur betrays the truth about their claims of being non partisan. Cenk we also know is working not just for The Young Turks, but he has been involved with radical left wing politics with groups like the Justice Democrats.
In an article entitled ‘Google Is Planning to Fund Far Left The Young Turks to Teach Online Courses on How to Report The News‘ by Shane Trejo in Big League Politics, Shane claims:
YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, will be funding progressive propaganda show The Young Turks (TYT) to teach viewers how to conduct journalism.
The channel, which has promoted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her socialist ‘squad,’ will be opening TYT Academy to facilitate local news reporting on the YouTube platform. Google is reportedly investing money in the mid-six figures range to TYT. While Google throws pro-Trump conservative voices off the platform, they paper over their opposition in a showing of open collusion with the radical Left.
However, TYT Academy denies that their program will contain any political bias. Steven Oh, TYT’s Chief Business Officer who created the program, said to Axios that they are ‘not interested in cranking out journalists who share our political viewpoint whatsoever.’
TYT plans to have eight videos in two tracks that applicants will need to study in order to graduate from their academy. The first track is on ‘journalism tactics and responsibilities’ and the second is on ‘best practices for online video production across many online platforms.’ Participants will be given short quizzes throughout the course, and then required to pass a final exam in order to receive a journalism certificate.
This comes as apart of the Google News Initiative (GNI) that was launched in 2018. The Orwellian monolith plans to spend $300 million in order to control and influence the news as they boot dissident voices from their platform in record numbers.
‘It’s becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish what’s true (and not true) online,’ Google said in a blog post from 2018. ‘Business models for journalism continue to change drastically. The rapid evolution of technology is challenging all institutions, including the news industry, to keep pace.’
In addition to funding TYT Academy, Google will be working with establishment organs such as the Harvard University’s First Draft project, the Poynter Institute, and Stanford University in an attempt to tighten their stranglehold on the journalism industry. – Big League Politics
I find it interesting that of all the sources available to teach online “journalism” classes, they pick one of the most “progressive” and woke. It’s almost as if they simply needed an excuse to give the network a cash infusion.
The Republican party and right wing media have worked for decades to create a base that values "owning libs" over their own economic interests.
If you liked that asinine Trump tweet, congratulations – their work paid off. https://t.co/fMCJN3yilF

Teaching local people how to write and make video content almost seems like the left wings answer to Patriots’ Soapbox.
