EL PASO, TX – Governor Greg Abbot, El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen, FBI Special Agent In Charge Emmerson Buie, Mayor Dee Margo, and Chief Augistino held a press conference regarding the story that has currently claimed 20 lives and injured 26 others.

During this press conference, each man spoke about the incident.

Governor Abbot stated, “Lives were taken who should still be with us today.”

El Paso Police Chief Allen remarked, “The ages and genders of all these people injured and killed are numerous in the age groups. The situation, needless to say, is a horrific one.”

Chief Allen did confirm that they have an alleged suspect in custody.

Chief Allen also went on to state about the shooters alleged ‘manifesto’.

“Right now we have a manifesto from this individual, that indicates to some degree, it has a nexus to potential hate crime,” and said authorities were still working to “validate” that the manifesto was penned by the alleged gunman.

However, FBI Special Agent in Charge Emmerson Buie, Jr. stated that the FBI was not looking at any specific charges other than murder.

Mayor Margo worked to console the citizens of El Paso telling them that their city is safe.
