September 14, 2020 – Anyone who has been following the Russiagate scandal is aware of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the investigators. We have seen the “Steele Dossier” ploy fall apart, and have learned that LtGen Michael T. Flynn (USArmy, Ret.) was targeted with exculpatory information buried by the corrupt Mueller investigative team. We recently learned that same team wiped all the cell phones their so-called investigators used, a clear attempt at obstruction of justice and evidence tampering. Now that we have learned what they did, where are the cries of “political persecution” and “weaponization of the Special Counsel Office?” We also know that Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s pitbull Andrew Weissmann knew as soon as the SCO was formed, that there was no Trump-Russia collusion and he deliberately slow-walked the “investigation” to “meddle in the 2018 midterm elections” with great effect.
Where are the Beltway gossip queens to cry foul about influencing the elections, tampering with evidence, political persecution and turning the DOJ and FBI into Obama’s personal hatchetmen?

Investigative reporter John Solomon has been following the case from the beginning, and he believes we may be soon learning some shocking information.

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton has called Durham’s investigation a sham, and said it should have been concluded a long time ago. Fitton believes Durham is dragging this out, hoping Joe Biden will be elected and the “investigation” will then be shut down.
Where is Durham? https://t.co/hJlnHBXBGg

This is a disturbing possibility. Everything I have read about Mr. Durham’s stellar career before he was assigned this case, defines him as a straight shooter. He is portrayed as a man who is essentially apolitical and who has a strong eye for details. He is universally described as a man who cares about the principles of the Letter of the Law and the Rule of Law above all else.
The lengthy wait for a resolution tends to cause both sides of the political aisle to wring their hands and gnash their teeth in anger that they are not getting exactly what they want. We can already see this with the Durham probe. Democrats are angry they aren’t getting a free pass, and Republicans are angry Durham isn’t doing things on their time table. This appears to show Durham won’t be swayed by histrionics and hyperventilating from either side, that he remains dedicated to following the facts and evidence, wherever they may lead.
This deliberate process is causing problems even among his own staff. According to Crime and Justice News, in an article entitled “Departure of DOJ Investigator Roils Trump-Russia Probe“:
Nora Dannehy, a prosecutor who was helping lead the investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, has resigned from the Justice Department, the Associated Press reports. Dannehy was on a team led by U.S. Attorney John Durham of Connecticut, who was appointed to lead an investigation into how the FBI and other federal agencies set out to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and whether the Trump campaign had coordinated with the Kremlin. Her departure could complicate the final stretch of an investigation anticipated by President Donald Trump and his supporters to uncover what they see as wrongdoing within the FBI. Durham has questioned former law enforcement and intelligence officials about decisions made during the Russia probe. Dannehy had been a top leader on the team. – Crime and Justice
What Crime and Justice News fails to mention, is that Nora Dannehy is a staunch Never Trumper and a Democrat.
From the Associated Press article “Prosecutor Resigns from Probe of Russia Investigations Origins” that claims this could cause some delays in the investigation:
Nora Dannehy was a top prosecutor on a team led by U.S. Attorney John Durham of Connecticut, who was appointed last year to lead an investigation into how the FBI and other federal agencies set out to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and whether the Trump campaign had coordinated with the Kremlin.
A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Connecticut on Friday confirmed Dannehy’s departure, which was first reported by The Hartford Courant, but the spokesman declined to comment further.
Her departure could complicate the final stretch of an investigation already slowed by the coronavirus pandemic but eagerly anticipated by President Donald Trump and his supporters to uncover what they see as wrongdoing within the FBI during the Russia investigation. It leaves the investigative team without one of its veteran prosecutors as key decisions presumably await before the probe wraps up.
Durham’s appointment by Attorney General William Barr was made public soon after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian election interference. In the year and a half since, he has questioned former law enforcement and intelligence officials — former CIA Director John Brennan among them — about decisions made during the course of the Russia probe. Dannehy had been a top leader on the team, present for interviews with such officials, including Brennan.
The investigation has not yet produced the results that Trump supporters had been hoping for. There also is pressure to wrap up soon given that Justice Department policy frowns on investigative steps that could affect an election, though Barr has said that policy would not apply here since Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is not a target of the probe. It’s also not clear that Durham’s work would be permitted to continue if Trump loses in November and Democratic leadership assumes control at the Justice Department. – The Associated Press
I find it highly disturbing that none of these mainstream news articles describe what has been uncovered thus far about the origins of the probe. They never discuss the truth of the Steele Dossier being a political opposition research fictional document, solicited, paid for, and laundered by the Clinton campaign. They do not call that politically motivated, and we know it was. There is no mention of the FBI’s seeding of the Trump campaign with informants who were attempting to entrap people, while at the same time those very FBI agents were giving Hillary Clinton a free pass with her illegal server and handing out qualified immunity deals to her staffers. And all of that occurred while those staffers were destroying evidence, and using things like Bleachbit and taking hammers to devices.
There is hardly a peep about the clearly political motivations of the FBI agents who, in text messages, praised their assigned investigation target Hillary Clinton, and disparaging Trump. They even talked about having an “insurance file,” so we can clearly see the two-tiered system of injustice that was at play here … but I digress.
According to Matt Vespa of Town Hall, in an article entitled “Are There Durham Indictments Coming? Fox News Reporters DOJ Source Told Him to Set His Alarm Clock” there may be some semblance of real justice being restored, coming soon:
Attorney General William Barr has vowed to get to the bottom of the Russian collusion probe origins. Why was it started? He noted how he thought the investigation into these claims led to the Obama Department of Justice spying on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. He also agreed with the notion that it was a witch hunt. He also said that the explanations he received for justifying some aspects of this probe simply do not ‘hang together.’ With the revelations about the FISA abuses at the FBI that ensnared Carter Page, a former Trump campaign official, to the prosecutorial misconduct hurled at former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn—there’s plenty of grounds for inquiry.
U.S. Attorney John Durham has been tasked with getting to the bottom of it. Will his report drop before or after the 2020 election? It’s a criminal investigation. And in July there were rumblings that the DOJ under Barr was moving on indictments.
Well, if there’s any news about Durham right now, it’s over the resignation of a top aide in the investigation, Nora Dannehy, over allegations that the report is being rushed to completion to fulfill a political objective.
Still, something might be up, maybe an early ‘October Surprise,’ but one that could give Democrats heartburn. Fox News Reporter Kevin Corke tweeted that his source at the DOJ told him to ‘set his alarm clock’ regarding developments from this investigation. Corke said he’s not holding his breath, but we’ll keep you updated if anything drops. – Town Hall
Sadly, it often seems the swamp will never be drained. I am not sure how these cases keep getting assigned to Judges who are “activists” rather than impartial. It is stunning that the case to be assigned to Judge Emmett Sullivan is fraught with unprecedented moves undertaken to persecute LtGen Michael T. Flynn.
DOJ: "Releasing these non-public details about the specifics and contours of the Review’s investigatory activities, and/or whether specific trips taken by the Attorney General were related to the Review, would risk undermining any ongoing criminal investigations or prosecutions."
— Mike Scarcella (@MikeScarcella) September 12, 2020
The Department of Justice is absolutely correct here. This is an on-going case and attempting to get information and documents before the case is finished, risks taking away the edge that investigators have to be able to question suspects. It would reveal what they have before they have a chance to question everyone. This would cripple the investigation and the ability to pressure people who won’t talk because they seek to hide their role in the corrupt activities. If you think of a court case like a game of poker, this is akin to showing your hand, and then expecting to be able to win anyway. No more element of surprise.
The FOIA suit for Durham-related staffing and expenditure records, filed by @CREWcrew, is pending before US District Judge Emmet Sullivan, who is weighing Barr's move to walk away from the Michael Flynn prosecution https://t.co/KCV3HkxFVY
— Mike Scarcella (@MikeScarcella) September 12, 2020
How is it that this latest case involving the CREW FOIA suit regarding Durham’s related staffing and expenditure records is now before this same District Judge Emmet T. Sullivan, who currently stalls justice for LtGen Flynn?
On top of which, it now appears that Nora, a lifelong Democrat and self-styled “never Trumper,” is unable to put politics aside in the name of “equal justice under the law.”
Did "Citizens For Responsibility And Ethics In Washington" ever file an FOIA lawsuit seeking details of the Mueller crew's activities?
Asking for a friend. https://t.co/p33mvidbT2
— Hans Mahncke (@HansMahncke) September 12, 2020
CREW, a left wing partisan organization never filed a FOIA in the Mueller probe.
I think those indictments took time due to the depth of the investigation and the expansions of the investigation after Durham took over. I think the Brennan interview was the last big piece.
— Adam Housley (@adamhousley) September 14, 2020
Nora was present for the questioning of John Brennan and perhaps this is why she, a Democrat never-Trumper, decided to leave and then immediately leak information. There had been no leaks up until she left, and I find this very disturbing and the timing highly suspect.
ICYMI – UNTOUCHABLE: James Comey Walks Away Free & Clear from Durham, Barr Probe of FBI Spying on Trump https://t.co/yrFa8LKH1q
— Thomas Paine (@Thomas1774Paine) September 14, 2020
Thomas “Michael Moore” Paine, from True Pundit, claims his sources in the Justice Department and FBI have told him that James Comey will be walking away scot free. Suffice to say, none of us can claim to know what else Durham may have up his sleeve. We have no way of really knowing where his probe is going, if it is going anywhere. Because there have been no leaks and Durham has made few statements, most of this is unconfirmed speculation.
The narrative being hammered in the mainstream media, who brought us the absurd Russia Collusion hoax in the first place, is that any investigation into the coup plotters is “political” and amounts to “election interference.” These same people did NOT think Hillary Clinton using Steele and Fusion GPS to launder opposition research into the FBI, CIA and State Department was “political” and “designed to interfere in the election” in 2016.
Thus we can see the rank hypocrisy as well as the double standard on full display. The media themselves were complicit in the hoax, and they are clearly motivated to keep their role covered up. This is why citizen journalism and independent media are critically important to a Constitutional Republic.
For more information here are some recent articles that clearly demonstrate this double standard:
- “‘Restore Fairness’ and Sentence Michael Flynn, Court Amicus Says in New Filing” – This shameful article and Court Filing by Gleeson ignores all the exculpatory evidence uncovered by U. S. Attorney Jeff Jensen that proved Michael Flynn was set up. Sanctions were never discussed, and the FBI did not think he was lying.
- “Top Aid in Review of Russia Inquiry Resigns from Justice Department” – This article does not mention that Nora Dannehy is a life-long Democrat and never-Trumper.
- “Durham FOIA” – Filed by CREW which is a partisan organization that never filed FOIA’s about the Mueller probe.
