ICIG Atkinson Was Once Lawyer for John Carlin and Mary McCord

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Oct 1, 2019  The Inspector General of the Intelligence Community Michael Atkinson yesterday issued a four-page memo detailing why the rules regarding ‘Urgent Concern’ in relation to whistleblowing were revised in August of 2019 to allow hearsay and second-hand information as the basis to file a complaint.

In my prior article on Adam Schiff (D-CA), I reported the discovery of recent modifications of the submission form.  That set several investigators to documenting the changes, thus eliciting the memo of attempts to adjust such modifications in advance of the release of the complaint.

The whistleblower claimed to have some firsthand information as well as other information. This complaint itself appears to have been drafted by a team of lawyers and to bolster its hearsay, cites the same factually incorrect and sometimes misleading mainstream news publications as the Steele Dossier.

Chrissy Clark of The Federalist notes that:

While law does not require those who file whistleblower claims to offer first-hand information of an urgent concern, federal regulations laid out in the “Background Information on ICWPA Process” state the ICIG must possess reliable, first-hand information in order to find the whistleblower credible.

Despite the form changes and the requirement for possession of first-hand information, the ICIG statement admits the Ukraine whistleblower filed an outdated report and checked that he or she had first-hand knowledge of the experience, which the complaint itself contradicts. – The Federalist

We have also reported on the shadowy group of lawyers representing the whistleblower and their connections to the Clintons. It is also now being reported that former CIA director John Brennan traveled to Ukraine with a fake passport to investigate Trump:

Rush Limbaugh reported that:

RUSH: I got an email, “What do you mean, Brennan traveled to Ukraine with a fake passport? I didn’t hear that.” Well, folks, I’m sorry. Let me give you the details. John Brennan, Obama’s director-CIA, went to Ukraine under a fake passport so that nobody would know it was him. Fake name. Can you do that? Can you get a fake passport? No. John Brennan can, CIA director. I’m surprised he even needed a passport. But he went under a fake passport to get opposition research on Trump!

The Obama administration originally lied about Brennan’s visit, but they were forced later to admit the report was true after evidence of Brennan’s visit emerged. This is that guy, John Brennan, who over the weekend encouraged every deep stater to come forward and blow the whistle on Trump. (summarized) “There is no limit on the number of individuals who can use the whistleblower statute. If you think you were involved in unlawful activity as a result of Trump, now is the time to report it!”

Is Brennan gonna pay all of you whistleblowers? Is he gonna pay for your protection? This is a former director of the CIA asking the deep state to rise en mass and start blowing the whistle on Trump with a bunch of made-up lies! This guy’s fingers are as dirty as anybody’s on the dossier, including McCain’s people. He traveled to Ukraine under a fake passport. The Obama regime denied it until the news was undeniable. Then they had to admit it. – Rush Limbaugh

John Brennan recently took to Twitter to call on others in the administration and IC to use the whistleblower statute to file innumerable complaints against the President.

Sundance of The Conservative Treehouse has reported that the current ICIG was once a lawyer for John Carlin and Mary McCord:

The coordinated effort obviously ties back-in Intelligence Community Inspector General, Michael K Atkinson.

Michael K Atkinson was previously the Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the National Security Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ-NSD) in 2016. That makes Atkinson senior legal counsel to John Carlin and Mary McCord who were the former heads of the DOJ-NSD in 2016 when the stop Trump operation was underway.

[Irony Reminder: The DOJ-NSD was purposefully under no IG oversight. In 2015 the OIG requested oversight and it was Sally Yates who responded with a lengthy 58 page legal explanation saying, essentially, ‘nope – not allowed.’ (PDF HERE) All of the DOJ is subject to oversight, except the NSD.]

Put another way, Michael Atkinson was the lawyer for the same DOJ-NSD players who: (1) lied to the FISA court (Judge Rosemary Collyer) about the 80% non compliant NSA database abuse using FBI contractors; (2) filed the FISA application against Carter Page; and (3) used FARA violations as tools for political surveillance and political targeting.

Yes, that means Michael Atkinson was Senior Counsel for the DOJ-NSD, at the very epicenter of the political weaponization and FISA abuse. – The Conservative Treehouse

This would mean that Mr. Atkinson would have a motivation to cooperate in the Schiff and Lawfare stunt. If John Durham’s investigation leads back to the origins of the Russia-Collusion hoax, it could very well expose Schiff’s own assistance in that rogue operation. This conflict of interest could affect and influence the way he conducts himself with regard to the Complaint and the American people need to be made aware of that.
