Hump Day: “The universe seems neither benign nor hostile, merely indifferent.” ~ Carl Sagan

By Maggie, The Universal Spectator

“If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.” — C.S. Lewis

Time is not a human construct. Even if we don’t monitor or calculate time, it still moves, taking us along with it … especially with our star at the center of our sol-system reminding us of that daily fact. We see time moving in our lives. In growth and change, for better or for worse, in this world. In our seen and unseen ancestry that anchors us to existence and heritage. In the bounty, loss, and absence in our measured lives. In our very own reflection in the mirror. Seeing or blind, time never takes us into consideration. Yet, as Lewis notes, “meaning” is spiteful of our arrogant and insatiable human trait of doubt … As we have been told, ‘You can/may ask a question but you might not get the answer you wanted’, or not get an answer at all. Why not? Well, somebody once sniped, “You can’t handle the truth!” And so, “time”, like space and gravity, ‘just is’. However, in this massive humanity-defiant celestial “six days Creation” bubble on the outskirts of The Almighty’s Eternity, even time is immeasurable out there

And some alien ‘Morse code’ idea is comical. But sounds about as good as any other theories today’s “scientists” come up with as they pump-up on avocado toast and Red Bull.
