December 6, 2019 – Recently several Google whistleblowers have come forward to expose some of the company’s activities taken without public knowledge that in some cases were even lied about. According to Ars Technica’s Kate Cox now four fired Google employees have filed a complaint alleging illegal retaliation:
Four former employees who say Google fired them in retaliation for their efforts to organize co-workers are planning legal action against the company. The workers allege the tech giant violated US labor law.
The employees—Laurence Berland, Paul Duke, Rebecca Rivers, and Sophie Waldman—jointly signed onto an open letter posted today outlining their grievances with their former employer.
‘We participated in legally protected labor organizing, fighting to improve workplace conditions for all Google workers,’ they write. They also worked to ‘hold Google accountable for the impact on our workplace of its business decisions, policies, and practices on a range of topics.’ Those topics include protesting Google’s work with US immigration enforcement agencies and the Department of Defense and protesting Google’s work with the Chinese government, as well as a massive walkout of 20,000 Google employees last year to protest the company’s handling of sexual harassment allegations against senior executives. – Ars Technica
Google clearly has not handled these controversies in a successful fashion. The employees all seem to feel that they are undervalued at the company, that their beliefs, morals and opinions do not matter and thus their interests are not very well represented in the company.
It has also been reported by Breitbart New’s Allum Bakari in an article entitled ‘Sen. Marsha Blackburn Demands Answers from Google About YouTube’s Censorship of Trump Ads’ that the senator is publicly calling for YouTube to make their reasons for the censorship publicly known:
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is calling on Google-owned YouTube to publicly explain why they have censored over 300 of President Donald Trump’s political ads.
‘Online platforms wield tremendous power in swaying public opinion to the right or left, and with that power comes much responsibility,’ the Senator said in a letter to the Tennessee Star.
‘As the 2020 election heats up, YouTube has a responsibility to the American people to be open and transparent about its real reasons for taking down what it considers ‘problematic’ campaign ads and why. The American people deserve an answer. YouTube has a duty to answer.’
YouTube’s censorship of more than 300 of the Trump campaign’s ads was revealed in a 60 Minutes segment earlier this week. – Breitbart News
Indeed the rules should not be vague, and should be transparent. These massive conglomerates were able to become monopolies on the basis of their Section 230 immunity from responsibility as a publisher and protects them on the basis they are ‘neutral’ public platforms.
It has also recently been reported by the Wall Street Journal that Google executives were caught altering search results of the topic of abortion:
A recent report from the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has revealed that, despite claims to the contrary, Google executives and engineers actively alter the search engine’s results in favor of big business and executives’ opinions, using blacklists and auto-complete to determine which web addresses appear at the top of the search. One of the common search topics the search engine seems to have modified the results for is the term abortion.
Google holds an astounding 90 percent of the market share for all search engines, including Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and Bing. It is so widely trusted that it’s become a verb rather than a name in the English language, and it is the most highly trafficked website in the world, helping its parent company earn over $30 billion in annual profit, according to WSJ. Basically, Google holds the power to inform the world and therefore control what versions of the truth it uses to answer the 3.8 million queries typed into the company’s search bar every minute.
According to the report from WSJ, when Google first began some two decades ago, it was built on the idea that search algorithms would do a better job than human beings in wading through the information available on the internet and spitting out the best results for the search users. In both private meetings and during congressional testimony, top Google executives have said that algorithms are objective and autonomous. They are meant to be ‘unsullied by human bias or business considerations’ according to WSJ.
‘We do not use human curation to collect or arrange the results on a page,’ reads the Google blog. Yet the corporation doesn’t share details about how exactly the algorithms work, which leads to obvious concerns.
WSJ found that Google ‘has increasingly re-engineered and interfered with search results to a far greater degree than the company and its executives have acknowledged.’ They’ve done so as a result of pressure from businesses as well as the influence of outside interest groups and governments. And WSJ said that Google’s interference with authentic search results based on algorithms has ‘increased sharply since the 2016 election’ including — despite denials — using blacklists to prevent particular websites from showing up in the search results. – Live Action
It is important to note that one of the main figureheads allegedly behind the Impeachment “hearings” is financial oligarch George Soros. It had been reported back in 2018 that George Soros was also one of the main drivers behind the Google and Facebook censorship campaign:
Never, even in my fertile imagination, would I have guessed that we would find a smoking-gun 49-page memo revealing how George Soros operatives, including David Brock, were there at the genesis, the planning stages, with their hands on the ignition key, of the most concerted, well-funded, diabolical attack on free speech in the history of America. But there it is.
Millions saw it on the DrudgeReport – including, no doubt, President Trump, Vice President Pence and Republican congressional leaders. But most Americans still know nothing of its existence – because it was not reported among the Big Media. They don’t want you to know about it. They would be embarrassed if America found out how they have been used and manipulated – from their focus on ‘Russian collusion’ to other wild conspiracy theories targeting their No. 1 villain, President Trump.
It was nothing short of a plan to turn Google, Facebook and other social media into hyper-partisan Democratic Party activists, promoters, cheerleaders, and off-the-books donors in an effort to turn the country into a one-party state. – Life Site News
This of course was referencing the leaked Media Matters memo entitled “Democracy Matters: Strategic Plan for Action,” a confidential memo that outlined the plan to use the media and lawfare to fundamentally change America.
