Yeah, Elon Musk’s Twitter buy will be prevalent in the newsfeed for awhile, especially as the left melts down and even tries their damnedest to ‘cancel’ the billionaire. And it is comical to see other media-owning billionaires clutching their pearls.
Elon Musk is buying Twitter.
CNN+ is shutting down.
Disney is being reined in.
It’s a bad time to be woke.

Apropos of something:
-Tesla’s second-biggest market in 2021 was China (after the US)
-Chinese battery makers are major suppliers for Tesla’s EVs.
-After 2009, when China banned Twitter, the government there had almost no leverage over the platform
-That may have just changed— Mike Forsythe 傅才德 (@PekingMike) April 25, 2022
Interesting question. Did the Chinese government just gain a bit of leverage over the town square? https://t.co/jTiEnabP6T

Lee Brown: Jeff Bezos suggests China could have ‘leverage’ over Musk’s Twitter
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos shared a conspiracy that Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter could empower China — just to later admit it was “probably” unfounded.
The Washington Post owner took aim at the only person in the world richer than him soon after Musk called his new $44 billion purchase “the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”
“Interesting question. Did the Chinese government just gain a bit of leverage over the town square?” Bezos asked late Monday.
He shared a New York Times reporter’s tweet which noted how China was the second biggest market for Tesla, Musk’s pioneering electric car company that also opened its first overseas factory in Shanghai.
Twitter is blocked in China, giving it no leverage over the site — which the Bezos-shared conspiracy suggested could change under Musk…
My own answer to this question is probably not. The more likely outcome in this regard is complexity in China for Tesla, rather than censorship at Twitter.
— Jeff Bezos (@JeffBezos) April 26, 2022
Then why even ask the question, Jeff? Oh, that’s right. All you did was open a can of worms looking back at you…
Interesting that you ask this question about Twitter but haven’t said a peep about your concerns about Chinese influence over, say, BlackRock (the world’s largest asset manager). Or countless other companies. I wonder why.

for more than 30 years, the Washington Post published agitprop produced by “China Daily,” the official propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist Party. “ads” disguised as legit news.
between 2016 and 2020, the CCP paid WaPo $4.5M+.

note the disclaimer atop the “ad,” which is clearly disguised to look like a normal news article, doesn’t mention “China Daily’s” ownership. it’s a state-run operation. the CCP owns it.https://t.co/vD37K6a6hC

Selim Algar: DeSantis hails Musk’s Twitter buy as blow to ‘legacy’ media … Hopefully.
And then there are those people insisting the money Musk paid to acquire Twitter could have, what, solved world hunger, or something. Seriously?
Instead of ending world hunger, you chose to buy Twitter.
I can’t imagine how you sleep peaceful at night knowing that they’re kids, homeless people with no food dying day by day all over the world like in Somalia while all the money you have can end world hunger in blink of eye— Aima (@AimaPhotogr) April 26, 2022
You keep spamming w/this crap but haven’t posted data-filled spreadsheets on a plan. I mean, nothing says ‘curing world hunger’ like throwing $Bs into corrupt UN &/or corrupt world govs & expecting/trusting them to ‘feed ppl a fish’ or even ‘teach their ppl how to catch a fish’.

As usual, I gotta hear J.J. Sefton’s chain of thoughts reaction on most things to see how mine and his thoughts line-up. I have said before, I am nowhere near ‘eye-to-eye’ with Musk on his views on many things. However, I give him a lot of respect for how he has built his empire and how he now sees a “utopia” with fossil fuels completely abolished and leftist fascism on ‘free speech’ just ain’t plausible in this lifetime.
J.J. Sefton @ AoSHQ: “Sting or Stink?”
…As the estimable Robert Spencer notes above, when three of the worst anti-American organizations, Human Rights Watch (HRW), Amnesty International, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), whose words and deeds over the course of decades completely belie their names come out against you, it’s a badge of honor and an indicator that you’re one of the good guys. But that said, to me Elon Musk is still a big question mark. While I have tremendous admiration for SpaceX, I have never been a fan of Tesla. That’s not so much because I’m against electric vehicles, per se, but because Musk eagerly took billions of taxpayer dollars from the federal government to manufacture and market it. The same federal government that is now hell bent on destroying oil, coal and natural gas. And all the while, Musk flaunts an image of how his company is a wildly profitable, shining example of free market entrepreneurialism.
The other thing that has irked me, despite drawing the ire of such crooked Commie frauds as Elizabeth “Lieawatha” Warren, is his latent (or perhaps not so latent) flirtation with globalism and the Great Reset crowd. In fact, he does believe in the global warming/climate change fraud. Back in 2017 (ancient history, right?) he Tweeted:
“No need to rely on scientists for global warming — just use a thermometer”
Well, did he really believe it, does he still believe it or was it just part of his carny act to get billions in government lucre while conning the climate cultists? Either way, it’s not really a good look, IMHO. By the way, we’re still waiting for his hyperloops, Solar City, and Tesla semi-trucks among other things. . .
Look, if all of this is some sort of 11-dimension, Henry Gondorff long con, it’s a damn good one. That said, with views like that, Agarwal has got to be shit-canned immediately, along with the rest of Twitter’s “Trust and Safety Dept.” right behind him. That will be the tell. But assuming this isn’t a con, Musk might be the richest man on the planet and have billions in fuck-you money to play with, but he’s going up against the Kalorama Klown Komintern that can and will use the entire federal government to step on you like a bug.
As Churchill once said, “If Hitler invaded hell I would make at least a favorable reference to the devil in the House of Commons.” I’m not claiming Elon Musk is the devil, but I sure know who and what represents the other guy.
So that said, I welcome the “Under New Management” shingle hanging in the Twitter doorway. At least for now…
