WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Supreme Court of the United States announced August 23, 2019 that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has just completed radiation treatments for a tumor on her pancreas.
She started a three-week course of “stereotactic ablative radiation therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City,” per a statement from the Supreme Court. She began the treatment on August 5, 2019. Full statement can be read here.
Justice Ginsberg’s treatment therapy will not stop her from receiving an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Law at the University of Buffalo on August 26, 2019. The event was announced on May 2, 2019 and was updated today to confirm that Justice Ginsburg will attend the event. Read statement read here
