Trump Thanks Professional Sports Commissioners

Indianapolis — April 4, 2020 – With everything in the sports world either postponed or cancelled due to the Wuhan virus, President Donald Trump spoke with all the Major Sports Commissioners today by telephone to give them an update on the virus and to thank them for the good work being done by all the teams, players and fan bases in their respective communities. He encouraged them to keep supporting their fellow Americans according to White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere.

Joining POTUS on the call from the Trump Administration was Assistant to the President and Senior Counselor Kellyanne Conway and Special Assistant to the President and Associate Director of the Office of Public Liaison Andrew Giuliani.

The Commissioners who participated in the call with POTUS were:
Gary Bettman – Commissioner of the NHL
Cathy Engelbert – Commissioner of the WNBA
Don Garber – Commissioner of MLS
Roger Goodell – Commissioner of the NFL
Rob Manfred – Commissioner of MLB
Vince McMahon – President of the WWE & XFL
Jay Monahan – Commissioner of the PGA Tour
Adam Silver – Commissioner of the NBA
Dana White – President of the UFC
Roger Penske – IndyCar Owner
Michael Whan – Commissioner of the LPGA Tour
Drew Fleming – President of the Breeders Cup

The Commissioners thanked POTUS for his leadership and interest in sports at this time.
